Josephine Livingstone Corrects Her Characterization Of Me By Amending Her Article In The “New Republic”

Shortly after I published my post this morning on Dr. Josephine Livingstone’s false characterization of me as an alt rightist, I was contacted personally by Dr. Livingstone.  This showed real character on her part, and very much appreciated.

In true display of integrity, she acknowledged that the description of me as an “alt right personality” had been in error, and she assured me she would remove this label from her article in connection with my name.  I have confirmed that she has in fact done this, and I appreciate her honesty.  Writers do not often do this sort of thing, and it should be praised when it happens.

Even though I strongly disagree with the premises and arguments of her article, that is fine.  Disagreement is part of life.  I have no problem with people disagreeing with my ideas.  But I do have a problem with being called something I am not.

Thank you for your courtesies, Dr. Livingstone.

  1. Good to see that dialogue can occur between those that disagree instead of labels being tossed around with the intent to assail someone’s character combined with cheap “guilt by association” attempts to invalidate an arguement.
