The Instituto Ricardo Brennand is a Recife cultural institution containing a museum, library, and armory. Founded in 2002, it is an impressive complex and well worth the visit. I always try to see local museums when I travel, and I was glad that I came here.
The other photos shown below are from the Praia dos Carneiros, a tourist beach located along the southern coast of Pernambuco state, in Tamandare. It was about an hour and a half drive from Recife. I’ve been to a few of these tourist beaches in northern Brazil and have become fond of them, despite the “touristy” feel that some of them have.
