The Instituto Ricardo Brennand, And The Praia Dos Carneiros

The Instituto Ricardo Brennand is a Recife cultural institution containing a museum, library, and armory.  Founded in 2002, it is an impressive complex and well worth the visit.  I always try to see local museums when I travel, and I was glad that I came here.

The other photos shown below are from the Praia dos Carneiros, a tourist beach located along the southern coast of Pernambuco state, in Tamandare.  It was about an hour and a half drive from Recife.  I’ve been to a few of these tourist beaches in northern Brazil and have become fond of them, despite the “touristy” feel that some of them have.
